What is pH and how does it relate to your body?

A simple way to understand the body pH process is to think of the blood in your body as you would the water in a swimming pool. When we are acidic, our bloodstream is full of impurities just like the green murky pool. When our bodies are alkaline, our bloodstream is clean and pure like the clear pool.
“The first thought of any doctor who treats any kind of disease should be: what is the pH of this patient?" - Dr. Carson E. Pierce
Pool water is tested frequently to keep the water clean for healthy swimming conditions. Based on many variables, the pH in a pool changes on a regular basis, as it does in the human body. The weather, temperature, and particles that fall into the water can affect it, but routine testing and pH adjustments can bring the water back to a safe level in which to swim. The same concept applies for the body pH levels and overall health of a person.
